ThunderCity.Net have now got a radio stream!
This radio stream comes in two stream rates, one for dialup, the other for broadband users.
It isn't too hard to set up either and it also uses
MP3Pro streaming, which means no or very little quality loss even below speed of 96kbit/s!
If you are a user of
WinAmp and have the MP3Pro plugin, then you can listen at best quality by clicking one of the following links, those with just winamp can still listen to the stream but you will not benefit from the quality of the stream unless you install the MP3Pro plugin.
Broadband Stream (64kbps)
Dialup Stream (24kbps)

As an extra bonus to the Mad's users of the V3 client, I have added TC-Radio options to the client to simplify things for you hopefully!
Additional information can be found at

WinAmp and the
MP3Pro plugin.
Introducing the latest Mads client (still getting coded),
Mads 2K5JE
I have seeked an alternative mads client for a while, one when a user connects it would be automatically updated, one that can be updated with a lot less trouble and effort, one that doesn't constantly need bugs fixed due to script errors. This has lead to the developement of
Mads 2K5JE.
This newest edition is an alternative, but not a replacement for Mads V3, this one is for those who just want to log in and chatter, or for those not computer literate enough to possibly install the V3 version.
You want to try the new version?
Then what you waiting for, click
here now!
This
mIRC based chat client has specifically been designed to be used to replace the Mads chatroom that was closed when MSN decided to get greedy and close UK chatrooms.
It has been getting developed by the owners and fellow chatters of the room as well as being put together by yours truly to give a fully featured, enjoyable chat client that we hope will entertain all newcomers of IRC based chats like
Mads V3.
You may also use this client in any other IRC based chat location, though I only provide updates etc. for Mads, so you will need to visit this page or Mads to gain URL update locations etc.
In addition to this, I will not give support in regards to someone messing around with the scripts that we have been developing, so if you mess it up, its your fault.
RECOMMENDED MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENT
Pentium 233MHz (Does run on 166MHz with new "Slow" PC option.)
Windows 95
64MB RAM
Internet Connection
NOTE: The full install is usually updated with all the same fixes and updates that are included within the Mad40's Updater.
NOTE: Windows ME seems to have a problem with the MP3 sound playback, thus causing ME users to crash, I've added detection code to disable sounds when Windows ME is used. This will prevent you crashing.
FEATURES (version 27/11/06)
- Actions / Emotions / Moods - I've been adding a lot of these presets to allow the chatters to have a little more fun when things go a little stale.
- Applications + Utilities - Allows the user to launch a few common external apps and utils from Mads.
- Away Modes - Allows the user to select a predefined away mode or a custome entry.
- Personal Details - These are to substitute the profiles stored at MSN, includes, age, gender, location and hobbies/interests.
- CyberScript - This was written to provide options like 3D text, requester, auto greeter, thanker, lamegame, hello everybody and advertiser.
- Own Text - This allows the user to customise their tect colours as mIRC was very limited for this as well as provide additional text/screen options!
- Registration / Hosting - I've included scripting to allow users to use their nickname if it is registered and to be able to authorise it if that is so, and also introduced host-only options into the menu system.
These can only be used and accessed by authorising and activating host mode.
- Sound - You can send sounds to all or selected people in the room.
- Timestamp - Added this feature into the Toys menu just incase people felt the need to use it.
- MSN Emoticons - I managed to get an MSN emoticon script which was basic, but now I've recoded and added all of the emoticons used in the MSN chat clients and with a few additional extras.
- NetMeeting - Added supporting connectability for peeps to connect to each other directly through NetMeeting.
- Attacker Protection - Added to hopefully supress the attacks of lamer scripters etc.
- Slow PC Support - There are still peeps running lesser PC's (below 233MHz) out there so I developed and added special timers to cope with PC's that find it hard to handle the client in normal mode.
- Skype - Added supporting connectability for peeps to connect to each other directly through Skype.
- TC-Radio - Added support for ThunderCity's streaming radio braodcasts.
